Controlling diagram size in RTF Docs
« on: July 03, 2005, 11:48:37 am »
The diagram pictures (metafile format) embedded in my RTF documentation are too small and basically not readable, unless I resize them one by one. Obviously this is not an acceptable process!

Is there any way to specify a larger size for these embedded graphics or to force them to use the whole page width?

Thanks

Gilles

I raised this issue with Sparx on the ugly pictures.
Sometimes the horizontal to vertical aspect ratio is messed up as well. Apparently they are looking into it.

You can try to adjust the RTF style template for Figure if you're using the old RTF format. No idea how to do it with the new generator.

I create printable diagram files with FreePDF XP and GhostScript, which I deliver together with the rtf-docs.

Hi all,

EMFs sometimes (not allways) have to be resized; but, at least in my experience, they scale very, very well and come out great both in display and printed forms. So, I'm willing to put up with a little extra work after generating the documentation. However, in order to dimish the tedious resizing effort, it is best not to generate the whole project, but only to generate the pertinent package and then cut-and-paste into the deliverable document. (This can be automated via the MS Word Master Document technique that is explained in the EA documentation.)

Cheers,

Jaime
