Custom HTML reports - Please help
« on: January 16, 2006, 01:36:52 pm »
I am trying to copy the standard HTML report template to make a new template.   I got to the point of creating a new template and naming it.  When the template appears, it is blank.  Then, I clicked on "get default", but the default did not come up.   Your help is appreciated!

Thanks
Sarah

HTML reports work in a different way from RTF templates.

The HTML report is basically a combination of a number of the template bits or sections that appear on the left hand column in the HTML & CSS template editor.

The template appears blank because you had not selected any of the templates on the left.  As you select an entry the relevant part of the template appears on the right side content pane.  You can then edit the content and save the tempalte.  This will be reflected the next time you generate a HTML template.

To leave out some of the sections from being generated, delete all contents in the content pane and save the template.  This will show up as modified 'Yes' in the Sections list on the left.  You can always safely restore the default by using the "Get Default" option.
