Generate code from package
« on: May 09, 2006, 05:21:12 am »
I have 21 tables which are all located into the same package. I would like to generate the sql code of my package.
For only one table, it's ok, i do a right clic on my table and I select "generate dll". But, when I want to do that on the package, I can't, there are no options.
Can I do that or is it necessary to do this work (right clic, generate dll) for every table?

Try using the "Project View": highlight the package and select "Generate DDL" from the "Project View" tool bar (second drop down from the left).

It was definitely worth asking. One thing that often happens with the Project View is that a right-click on a package (for generation, export, etc.) sometimes doesn't quite get captured correctly. If the package is not first (before the right-click) selected (or highlighted) then you sometimes get the context menu you expect, but nothing happens when you make your menu selection. This can make it difficult to realize you are doing something correctly, but EA is not picking it up.
No, you can't have it!
