Problems with interfaces
« on: May 02, 2006, 11:29:38 am »
Hi there,

I'm evaluating EA and am a little confused by how interfaces are handled:
  • If I add an interface to a diagram and then open the properties dialog I don't see a 'details' tab - to add operations to it I have to select 'operations...' from the context menu itself.
  • I have no way to define an interface as a generic.

Hello,

Currently generic interfaces can't be modelled in EA.  This, along with the other elements that can be templated will be addressed in a future build.

I saw in the documentation for the latest build that generic constraints can be defined on an interface. Here is the definition from the doc:

genericConstraints  -
Templated Class or Interface, Operation with tag generic. -
The constraints on the generic parameters of this type or operation.

But I am unsure how to define a templated interface.  Is this supported yet?
