HTML documentation hyperlinks bug
« on: June 23, 2006, 03:54:29 am »
Hi

Has anyone come across a problem with HTML published hyperlinks?  Here's what happens:

- Insert on a diagram a hyperlink url style to an html file (i.e. \\machine\folder\index.htm)
- Alternatively, in the Files tab of a class add a reference to that same file.
- Then generate the HTML documentation (Project -> Documentation -> HTML report)
- When finished, open the published model and look for the hyperlinks generated in the steps above (in the diagram itself or the class' linked documents list).
- Click on them.  You'll see that you're opening the published model again and not the desired page specified above.

I'm running EA 6.1.790.

Regards

Ernesto

Mine does the same (build 790 as well).  It seems EA is copying down your referenced documents.  Even though it displays with the original path on the web page, the link is not the original path - but the locally copied file (to wherever you published the model).

I recommend you log this as a bug (or double check the help incase this is intended functionality for some reason).

David.
