Formatting Dates in HTML Report
« on: June 29, 2006, 11:23:39 pm »
G'day

Does anybody know how i'd change the generated format of the modified/created dates in a class diagram HTML page from a report from dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy? I could make a script to do it, but it would be easier having it generated in the correct way if possible.

For the record, I live in Australia and thus have the date set to dd/mm/yy for windows. However, my client is in the US and wants to have the dates changed to their format. I've looked in the HTML templates, but the entire date is specified as one variable, instead of just specifying the seperate month, day and year.

You just got the point. AFAIK the date is set thru the Windoze settings. Maybe you'll change your system to be American...

Suggest you set the date format to dd-MMM-yy.

Trust me, using -mm or mm- will result in one of the pair of you getting confused.  Been there, fought that.

Yep ! It's unambiguous !

But watch out for the dreaded Letter paper size ... fortunately many Americans are coming round to the benefits of scalable paper sizes, despite Windows' best attempts to ignore your Country settings when setting a default paper size !
