Document generation of exposed interfaces
« on: July 05, 2006, 01:10:57 am »
Hello guru's,

I have this diagram that shows some components. These components have exposed interfaces - these exposed interfaces are related to interfaces somewhere else in the model. Now I would like to generate a report of the components and their interfaces. Somehow I cannot output the documentation of the related interfaces. Any suggestions?

M.

How have you related them to the internal interfaces?  AFAIK  an exposed interface is merely an indication of some provided interface of a class contained within (ownedBy) the component.  There are different ways of modelling the exposure to the provider (see Ambler's discourses for some ideas) and in order to answer your question we'd need to know more details of how you have modelled this relationship.

Oh I forgot, we aren't doing him are we.

I get your point. Let me rephrase my question: Is it possible to document (using the RTF document generator) only visible diagram elements iso the diagrams in the tree.
