Target Role IsDerived ???

How do I mark an association Target Role as being derived?

(As in "Element has a derived composition association to itself to support the general capability for elements to own other elements.")

Hi bruce,

It's a bit kludgy, I know, but where EA doesn't support a derived property for an object, I adjust the name accordingly.  In your case, add a leading "/" to the role name.

FWIW, in my experience, just about everything is derivable...

The actual situation is quite obtuse, but I really, really, really need it in this case.

Not that it's going to help you today, but version 6.5 does include support for isDerived on the association roles.

And, since I've been on the edge of my seat for so long waiting for 6.5, the only added inconvenience is the risk I'll fall of and bruse my "rrrrrrr" to use Bruce's term.
