Version Control
« on: August 14, 2006, 01:02:23 am »
We have multiple people using same model and need some sort of a source control.

Which is the prefered (Quick and Easy as BA's are not technical!)

The two options are Subversion and VSS. Many of the BA's have used VSS to version word documents.

If it is possible work with database repository and enables security - set need of locking elements to work with them. It is working vera well at ours.

We are currently using the Master - Replica - Synchronise option.

Is this the right way to go about it ?

Plans are to use Soursafe for the Master only

My case is, that we all have access to the same repository online. There is only one version existing and only one person responsible for each package (gives permissions). I suppose it is not your case (not everyone able to work online)
