Enterprise Architect over Terminal Services?
« on: August 17, 2006, 07:27:29 am »
Hi there,

I've seen at least one recent reference on the forums to Enterprise Architect being run over Terminal Services.

I'd like to install EA Prof 6.1 on a thin client network where the desktop sessions are provided by Win 2003 Terminal Services. I'd also like to use shared license keys. EA would be served as part of the served desktop.

Is EA 6.1 supported in this configuration?

Thanks for any info.

Toby.

Perhaps more to the point these days, is (will) version 6.5 be supported? If not directly, does anyone have ideas of how this might be accomplished?
No, you can't have it!

I've been on the  road with my laptop and motel computers.  I connect to my home machine via Remote Desktop Services and run EA in that environment with no problem.  Been doing that for months and it even works with the EA beta.

My home system runs Win/2003 Server with all the latest fixumups from MS.

Does that help?

Verbal Use Cases aren't worth the paper they are written upon.

I'm not really sure that's the same thing Jim. However, it does sound like an excellent solution to the same problem. In my book that looks pretty good...
