Altering documentation generator process

In 5.00.769: When I startup the F8 process, I'd like it to insert each time a new line containing current timestamp and possisbly some more. Can I acces the documentation generator process via the xml scripting interface? the manual says nothing about it..:(

Edit the template, and select from the main menu "Insert" | "Date and Time".
