I can't open any EA project
« on: December 29, 2006, 01:32:32 am »
I have problem, I can't open any EA project because of invalid version of file MSJET32.DLL. When open a project in EA program, message appear: "An Error has Occured: Incorrect version of the DLL file 'MSJET32.DLL' was found". I looking for this file in my computer and I didn't found. What should I do to resolve this problem?

Try this:

Open EA itself, without opening any project. Then go to the options dialog from the main menu via Tools | Options - or use the control-F9 shortcut.

On the default page, check the box marked Use Jet 4.0 - requires restart. As per the box name, you will now have to exit EA and start it up again. EA will remember the setting until you change it again.

This sets you to a newer version of the Jet database engine. If you never had an older copy of MS Office or any of a (large) number of products that included the older version, you might only have the Jet 4.0 engine that is included with versions of Windows including 2000 and XP.

Let us know if this solves the problem.

Yes, it solves the problem.

I have installed MSO Access 2003 and 2007.
