Changes in CallBehavior Notation
« on: February 10, 2007, 09:14:26 am »
Version 6.5.802

In previous versions, when you changed the name of a CallBehavior Action, the Action element would appear like this:

_________________________
My Action Description
Object::Operation
_________________________

This allowed natural language descriptions for actions, in addition to presenting the actual method call.

In this version (802), when you change the name of the Action, the operation is no longer appended to the Object Name in the second line:

_________________________
My Action Description
Object::
_________________________

Is there a setting for this?
Is it intended behavior?
Why did it change?
Best regards,

M. LaPointe

If the name previously appear the 'upper' way before it was changed, the current behavior is probably a bug. Otherwise it still looks suspicious to me, but it might be the intended result and the earlier behavior was the bug.

Still, this is probably worth:
- Verifying whether this also occurs in build 803 (current at this point)
- If so, reporting as a possible bug.

This being a user forum, the bug report is the surest way to get the problem in front of Sparx (although they do monitor this forum faithfully).

Use the Support link at the top of the forum page, and then click Bug Report in the left side menu. Or, from the EA main menu choose Help | On-line Resources | Bug Report Page.

It is a good idea to include a link to this thread in your comments on the bug report. This allows Sparx to easily connect to, and participate in, whatever discussion occurs here.
