rtf generator
« on: January 24, 2007, 04:44:33 am »
I need customise generated documentation. I am completly confused with its behavior.

1. I inserted page break after 'package element'. The page break is now yellow and cannot be removed. How can I remove it without destroying other content of element?

2. When I insterted a row with just one cell in a table there is sometimes yellow bulk in the cell and it is not possible to write in the cell.

3. I'm not able to put page-break in front of every element.

4. Is there better manual then 'Woriking with th RTF generator'? Or any resource on the web?

thx

Search the forums for similar questions and you will find a wealth of informaition (and RANTS about the RTF editor.)

I am of the opinion (shared by some) that it is currently NOT worth the effort to use RTF templates...

I get MUCH better and easier to maintain results using existing MS Word featues (master/sub document features, database field codes, etc.), MS Access, and some VBA code...

I started a thread today about Sys Req. Spec. Generation NOT using EA RTF capability... If there is enough interest I can share some of my approaches and experience...
Time is what keeps everything from happening at once, Space is what keeps it all from happening to you. <unknown>

Hi,

I am currently working to generate requirements documentation out of an ea model and have encountered most of the frustrations expressed in posts to date.

If there is a viable alternative I would be happy to explore it and looked for the thread you mentioned in your message. Can you please advise where I might find it?

Thanks
