Version control and project dependencies
« on: March 06, 2007, 07:08:47 am »
Hello,

I'm trying to use enterprise architect in a big project with a lot of small parts. I have 2 questions about that:

- Is it possible to safeguard only the version control files and not the eap project (or just the structure of the project)?

- Is it possible to use a project in an other one?

- Is there a way to create dynamic diagrams? For example, I would like to show all relations of a class in one diagram.

Thanks.

A few answers:
- There are quite some threads dealing with managing projects here on the board. In general you can use several Root nodes which has advantages as well as disadvantages. Also XMI exports can be used for that purpose. Try a search...
- Dynamic diagrams are not possible, but something quite as good as that. Create a class diagram and put one class in. From the context menu select Add/Insert Related Elements. Then press Auto-Layout. Voila
