Generalization Diagram
« on: March 13, 2007, 03:39:49 pm »
hi im new to EA, i've been messing around with it for a week or so and i'm currently doing alot of generalization diagrams, i still havent figured out how to join all the subclass links into one link, then have that one link associated to the superclass. Like the classic hierarchy look. And on adding constraints to associations, how do i do it to where the contstraint is in just curly brackets instead of on a note icon? can anyone give any advice...thanks.

You need to use the Tree Style (right click, Set Linestyle) for the connectors. Regarding the Notes: AFAIK you only can place it in notes with curly brackets. You might change the color to that of the background using F4 key (not really what you want, though).

Simon,

Any thought to providing something like that option for other connector types?

David
No, you can't have it!

Submit a request http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/support/feature_request.html

That option was around long before other connectors could be drawn that way.
