How can I define a new default status?

I have redefined the status values (translation to german). Now I have no default value in new elements. How can I define a new default status?

Did you use the [Applies to ..] button?

No, because  "Applies to" applies colors to modell elements ...

Forget it. I tried it in my early days. EA is not really designed for multi language support.
