EA Object model available?
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:36:07 pm »
Hi,

Is the EA object model as documented in the EA help http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/EAUserGuide/automationinterface.htm available as a EAP (or XMI) file? This would be a great help in writing add-ins, e.g. to generate wrapper code. Currently I'm reverse engineering this model from Interop.EA.dll but it would be much easier if that model were generally available.

Regards,

Jos

Sorry Jos,

If such a model is available we've not seen it, despite numerous requests. The best we've been able to do is the same reverse engineering trick you have.

I am assuming that you reverse engineered via the Import Binary Module function. If not, that's the best way to go. [Which still does not qualify as good news.]

I wish I had a more positive answer.   :(

No, you can't have it!
