Problems with Corporate Edition
« on: April 26, 2007, 06:04:20 am »
I've just got Corporate Edition installed and working. Apart from the issues of security and version control (which I'll work on later) I tried few simple, but important tests.

EA Corp Edition connected to SQL Server database. Set up a basic project and do some quick tests:

1. Disconnect the network cable while working on a diagram.
Result - EA practically hangs, keeps asking for a Password, no idea which one, and eventually closes the diagram and tries to reload it. All changes are lost.

2. I have two root models, one project specific and one with reusable components. I tried to generate HTML output of the project specific model and include the reusable model (as it is required for reference).
Result - cannot find an option to do this.

3. Tried to work off-line.
Result - The only way I could find to do this was to export the model(s) to XMI file(s), create a new EAP file, import the XMI file(s) to the EAP file, make some changes, export from EAP and then import the XMI file(s) back into the database. Is there a better way of doing this?

So far this is not a good start. I've search the forums for the past hour or more but I can't find much information. And there's nothing in the help files.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Tim
