Package control keeps reverting export format

I've setup package control with a subversion repository. However despite selecting XMI/UML2.1 as the export format, as soon as I select the "version control" it "grey's" out the export format box and selects XMI/UML1.3. Why is that?

Because EA only supports version control using the XMI1.1/UML1.3 format.  Any UML 2 information in your model still round trips correctly in this format.
