Java MDA Transform
« on: May 30, 2007, 10:51:15 am »
Hi there,

This is my first post and I'm from Brazil, so sorry about the English errors in this text.  :)

Today I've studied and tested the MDA features of EA and like it so much. My questions maybe seems too simple, but I couldn’t find all the answers in this forum.

1) Is there a way to import a MDA transformation made by another person, team etc?
2) Is there a public repository with MDA transformations for EA?
3) Is there a MDA transformation to build Hibernate Configuration File or the new JPA configuration file?

Thanks in advance
Leonardo

Hi Leonardo,

First, you came through very clearly. There is no reason to apologise.

As to your questions, AFAIK*:

1) Yes there is. Try Import/Export Reference Data. I think this is the right function; if not it is a good place to start.

2) Perhaps. Take a look at the EA User Group and EA Wiki. You can find both by reading the top post - it is a 'sticky' post that is always at the top, so you'll get the correct one -  in the Automation section of this forum. The User Group address is near the top. The Wiki address is in the signature block at the bottom of the message.

The Wiki is a good place to share things, but like many of these sorts of thing it often takes someone to get the ball rolling. If you don't find the kind of exchange you want, start one!

3) I don't know. Search this forum for NHibernate and Hibernate. You'll probably get better results with the former, but try them both; the forum can be picky about searches. Remember to set the time period of the search - go back 999 or more days.

Good hunting!

David
