Java comments and "Synchronize" reverse

Hello all,

I imported java source code into EA.  After importing, I added some comments to the classes in the "Notes" section of the element(class) properties.  I usually attach a UML note to the class and link the UML note to the element's "notes", to see the documentation in a class diagram.

Since the imported source code became out of date with the model, I used the "Right click on package > Code Engineering > Synchronize Package with Code > Reverse Engineer" to bring the code modifications into the model.  In this process,  EA overwrote the element "notes" i had added earlier.  

Is there a setting I can use to prevent EA from overwriting the added "notes"?
