IconixAgile Add-In - "Error - Missing"

What does "Error - Missing" mean  in a status of installed add-in ?
(Main Menu Add-Ins -> Manage Add-Ins -> Status column)
I have this status for IconixAgile Add-In.

(I am using Microsoft Vista Business, Enterprise Architect 7.0.813)

Please see Simon's explanation below.

My guess would be that EA is looking for the technology file (the XML file) and it is not there. Possible causes include the file having moved (perhaps it was on a mapped drive and the mapping changed or was removed), or EA has 'lost' an entry in its list of places to look.

Make sure your technology file is where it should be. Usually these things reside in a standard directory - the MDGTechnologies folder under your EA installation folder.

If the file is someplace else then open EA, navigate to Settings | MDG Technologies dialog, click the Advanced button, and use the Add button to add the appropriate path.

[Note that I am using build 827 (EA 7.1) to check this; the process does not seem to have changed though.]

Thanks David for your guess.  I want to say that I personally appreciate the effort you go to in replying to all sorts of problems, even if you do need correcting.

This error is referring to EA not being able to create an instance of the COM add-in specified by that name, so I would recommend a re-install of the ICONIX add-in.  The MDG technologies won't cause any errors on this dialog, they have a seperate dialog.

Thanks once again Simon, I've amended the post to point to your (correct) answer.

The main reason for guesses such as above - and the reason for marking them as such - is to see if we can get someone 'unstuck' quickly. There is often a bit of a cycle time, particularly with those in Europe or eastern North America (such as yours truly) before Sparx will be in a position to answer, and then a wait before the forum member will see the answer. If it seems that someone has hit a dead end then it is often worth trying a possible fix. And if it doesn't work - I remind people to make backups where a suggestion will change a working project - then they have no additional wait time before Sparx can answer.

Thanks again for coming to the rescue (so many times).
