Does EA support Cryllic fonts?
« on: August 10, 2007, 11:33:57 pm »
Hi,

Does EA support Cryllic fonts?
I can write notes using cryllic alphabets. However, when I close the program and reload it, there are question marks in the place of cryllic alphabets.

Is there any configuration that enables cryllic fonts?
OR
What should I do to use cryllic fonts in Enterprise Architect?

Thanks in advance,
Erke.

I have just added a brief entry regarding this problem to the EA WIKI site.

Thank you very much for your help!

Could you provide more detailed and step by step example on the second step?
I still have the problem. And I think that because of my poor English, I do the second step wrong.

* Use the "Convert Database" functionality in Access 2000 or higher to upgrade your EAP file (may need to rename to .mdb temporarily). [I used Access 2007, after converting it, EA cannot open the file]
OR
* Download the JET 4.0 version of the EABase.eap model, extract, and perform a data transfer to this file. [Could yo u give step by step example?]

Erke

I have added more details to the troubleshooting entry on the EA User Group WIKI site that may be of further help.  Go to the following page and read the entry regarding Unicode / JET 4.0 again.

This information is also in the process of being added to the "EA Deployment" whitepaper.

[edit: I didn't realise I'd already pointed out this page earlier in the thread ;).  Was meaning to point out that I had added more information.]

No worries.  Glad to hear it worked.  If you have any suggestions on how these instructions could be improved, please let me know. :)

Personally I still wish EA handled this more transparently.
