Classes from sequence diagrams to Class Diagrams

There is a group working on design using EA  
The problem came up where a class was added to a sequence diagram and then tried to use that same class in a class diagram. The problem came when the class was showing the swim lane in the class diagram. Is there a way to change from sequence class to class diagram class?
