Anti-aliasing for text in diagrams
« on: October 29, 2006, 06:31:47 pm »
Hello,
I wonder if EA has got antialiasing feature available, to make the text under shapes in diagrams smoother, like shown here:

http://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/tutorial/use_case_model.html

I have been looking through Options and could not find it. Looked in Help - did not succeed either. But those images on the use case tutorial page suggest that the screenshots must have been taken off EA, so maybe there is anti-aliasing there, just well hidden? Or was it just the Windows XP's ClearType thing turned on?  :-/

Thanks!
Regards
Alex

I would also like to find a way to make the fonts more readable.  Anyone have some tips or tricks?

It is actually Windows Clear Type that is making this happen. I would assume that changing the font from default Arial to something else would do the trick (somehwat).

Can you say what exactly you would like to do? There are various facilities in EA for making text more readable, so we could direct you to the most appropriate one.

Thank you for the hint on ClearType.  I downloaded the ClearType Tuner PowerToy, and now all is well.  Thank you, my life is now much improved.
