Requirement Status Type Colors not showing
« on: July 09, 2007, 08:55:26 pm »
Looking at Settings/General Types/Status Types..., each requirement status should be associated with a colour, shown as a colour bar on the left of the Requirement.

However, when I create Requirements (from Custom) the left bar is always the default (salmon) colour, not the status colour.

What configuration is required to have the status colours show on the Requirement.

You have to turn on the "functionality" to display status colors.
1. On Start Page open the Configure Options link
2. Choose Object in the left tree
3. Check the "Show status colors on diagrams" checkbox

That's all...

This also works for other elements. You need to (both) turn on shadows, and to explicitly enable status colors for each classifier type for which you want to display status colors.

Hi Guys

Is it possible for the requirements colours to be reflected in the Project Browser view and/or the Element List?

If the colours showed up in those views it would be easier to scan all the requirements and know which have not been approved (for example).

Thanks in advance,

-Richard.

Good point Richard,

I suggest you make a suggestion - complete with a thread in the forum - on this specific idea. I'd certainly support it.

Please search my recent posts for a best practice on how to make a feature request, while keeping us in the loop.

I strongly vote this. EA CAN be much stronger in general in every thing related to requirements at all...
