Notes in Doc
« on: October 10, 2007, 01:47:01 pm »
In my Domain Object diagram I have added some notes which don't really relate to the model, but which convey things like the date and time of the last revision.  When I generate documentation, this results in a top level entry for <anonymous>.  Any way to get rid of that or put it in a more structured place?

In your RTF documentation template, set the Document Options to "Hide <Anonymous> elements".

Somehow, that seems too simple! :)

OK, found that ... how about another one?

In my version of the RTF Requirements template ... which is only modified to letter sized paper ... if the text of the requirement is long, i.e., won't fit in its entirety on the first page with the header, then I get:
* Package name on first page;
* The block with Status, Priority etc. on the second page;
* The text starting on the third page.
Is there a way to tell it to keep everything together and just print what fits?

Sorry, I am unable to reproduce what you described.  I added about 3 pages worth of text into the requirement's notes but the template works fine for me without any page breaks.  I tried this with both 6.5 and 7.0.

I wonder if this is an artifact of having gone through Word in order to change the page size?

Maybe.  I would highly recommend making all RTF template changes within the RTF template editor.  There is a lot more capability there than most people think.

Well, I get exactly the same results by creating a new template copied from Requirements and narrowing the margins to taste and selecting Letter as the page size in the Printer setup.
