Hi teddyboy, you may be interested in the Document Artifact (in Component toolbox). Very Word-like docs can be implemented with this. However the table itself is not visible in the diagram so this may not be what you want.

May sound like a hack but you could also convert the table (if it's for reference only) to an image and then paste that into a diagram.

This is more a feature request: EA can show diagrams as Element List. It would be neat if this element list could be placed as diagram reference in another diagram. Unfortunately the Element List is only temporary and does not exist as such in the browser. But IF, you could create quite fancy tables.

Then use ecxel or word, horses for courses.
Yuor preblom is unobvious, I cannnot see any benefit in trying to use a UML tool to emulate a word processor. If excel or word are the tools you are trying to use then why click on the EA icon?

To put this another way. What exactly is it that you are trying to model? What problem are you trying to solve?  What is it, exactly, that you are trying to communicate?

I want to explain some protocol's format more directly, if one browse the EA but he must open another document to see some idea, it's not convenient.
and more often we just to use the UM of UML, that is the UML is Unified and can draw Model:) so I want some more powerful tools to draw diagram.
I believe, a table tools will be a big plus to EA. and i think it's easy: importing a CRichEditor ActiveX can do everything.
