undefined types become int when importing from RSM
« on: November 26, 2007, 06:30:20 am »
Hello,

I've imported an .emx file produce by RSM.  The type of most of the attributes was empty in the original model, it becomes int in the imported model.
Am I doing something wrongly?  Someone can point a solution other than editing each attribute?

Thanks!

Maria,

EA has a default data type setting someplace (I'm not sure where). I don't think you can make EA set the default to 'nothing' though. We've asked for such a setting in some areas, but I don't know if anyone's requested this.

I suppose (without proof) that you could write a simple add-in to iterate through your model and remove the data type setting. You would have to come up with some way to avoid resetting the ones that were populated in RSM though.

No, you can't have it!
