Using subversion in EA
« on: December 19, 2007, 02:50:52 am »
Hi,

we are currently looking to put all our EA projects under version control.
I've setup a demo project to test version control under EA and so far everything has worked fine.
However, when I tried to retrieve an older revision of a package, EA only allowed me to retrieve an read only version.
Is there a way to restore an earlier revision, but not only as a read only version?

The other thing I've being trying to find out about:
Is there a kind of file explorer view in EA, in which it is possible to see the last person who checked-in a package and the changes made?

Cheers,

Jason

Jason,
there are numerous threads around VC in common and SVN in particular. Those might give you a general clue what is (not) possible with EA.

I do not know of a way to see the log file from within EA. You likely have to use the context menu from the XMI and use Tortoise to show the log.
