819 - next release ... when ?
« on: December 31, 2007, 02:20:39 pm »
Hello everybody,

happy new year everybody !!

By the way: The last official release is from 29th October 2007. It is almost more than two months ago from now. Since I am used to find a new version published every 3 or 4 weeks: what is going on right now ? Is there a major release on its way or has the 819 simply been delayed ?

Regards
Bernd

Happy new year Bernd,

As to 819, you won't likely be seeing one. This is normal though.

We should see the first public beta of EA 7.1 any time now (I expected it before year end). When this happens there are usually several 'skipped' builds first. These are alpha, and possibly internal beta, releases.

So, all is well, and you should see an 82x build soon.

HTH, David
No, you can't have it!

Hi Midnight,

thanks for the information concerning the EA release procedure. I simply asked myself, why there hasn't been published any EA version for more than 10 weeks now (no matter whether alpha, beta or whatever).

Regards
Bernd

I'm not surprised...we've asked for an awful lot. ;D
