BPMN: Swimlanes do not group elements?
« on: January 23, 2008, 03:12:46 am »
Hi there,

I've just started to work with swimlanes in BPMN models. Does they do not behave as "normal" uml swimlanes in that way that elements within a swimlane will be moved if the swimlane itself is moved?

And: How do I split a swimlane? Do I really have to group several single swimlanes together?

If so: Why? UML swimlanes are quite comfortable in that way so why would there be any difference?

Regards,
Oliver

To "group" objects and swimlanes together make sure that the swim lane has the lowest Z-Order of all elements to be included in the diagram (from the context menu, choose Z-Order-> send to bottom).
