Need to Remove 7.0 Before Installing 7.1?

I don't need EA 7.0, so do I need to remove it before installing 7.1; or does 7.1 just overlay? :-?

Actually, its kind of both.

You need to remove 7.0, but the 7.1 installation will do this for you. It should retain your settings - except those that are maintained in the EABase project (like default code generation language) - so you should be OK.

An unsupported way to keep the old version is to first copy the 7.0 installation tree to a different directory (and perhaps create a shortcut to the application). Then install 7.1, which will remove the original installation but leave the copy there.

If you do the above, remember that you are at the mercy of any incompatibility between the versions.
