Entity Stereotype
« on: April 18, 2008, 11:45:27 pm »
I'm creating a class diagram and I need to identify my classes as <<control>> and/or <<entity>>.  If I use the built-in stereotypes in EA, the shapes of the diagram changes (from a rectangle to an oval, as described in the documentation).  Is there a way to leave the class shapes alone and just get the word  <<entity>> above the class name, i.e.:

<<entity>>
Student
----------
+ studentAge

etc

I'm new at UML, so hopefully the question makes sense  :)

In Diagram Properties, Elements Tab uncheck "Use Stereotypes Icons" if you need this for the whole diagram.

Thats not what he is looking for, He wants to know about how to supress the UML stereotyping.

You go to Settings in the top menu and then to UML, Find the artifact you are using and edit the properties of how it will look.

It's a big product Ed. We've all missed a few. At least you asked rather than wasting another week. That's the real test.

No, you can't have it!
