How to get image to appear in posting

Hi,
I've tried the image tags but can't see how to upload and image so that it can appear in a posting to this forum. I put my image on an image sharing site and put the URL in the image tags but that didn't work.
Can someone please explain how to do it ?

Not sure if it is case sensitive on the marker or you need the URL marker, but here is an example of one that works (square brakets replaced with {}:
{URL=http://img104.imageshack.us/my.php?image=projectbrowsersz2.png}{IMG}http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/6391/projectbrowsersz2.th.png{/IMG}{/URL}

Hi James,

This forum can't host your images, so you have the right idea hosting them at some other site. I notice you are using imageshack. I use that site too. It will give you the choice of 5 links: use "Direct"  (the last one)

I have re-set the bracketing to show the text.  See above - refresh.
Note: the last char in the {/URL - has been set - to Ascii code - it should be '}'.

I'll have another go here.... looks like it works now - problem I think was I wasn't using the correct form of URL
