Relationship Matrix
« on: May 21, 2008, 06:39:51 am »
Anyone know how to keep the green squares and x's visible on a saved profile after closing it?

The relationship matrix view does not keep the x's after we close it.  I suspect it has something to do with our settings between entities.

Hi,
It does keep the relationships, however after opening it again you have to specify again needed source, target and types. Post if that does not help.

You can save a search as profile so you don't have to manually redo the settings.

It was a setting.  It appears that EA allows you to create a matrix, without specifying a source or target.  These are necessary if you want to see the green boxes with x's.

I've saved my settings as a profile and when I open the matrix up again it works as advertised and I see those reassuring green boxes and x's.

Seems like a logical bug.  As a programmer, I would have forced the user to start with the source and targets so that they would get the behaviour expected from the matrix interface.

Thanks for all the helpful posts.  You've enabled my project to use EA in yet another super time saving way.
