Tagged Values not generated in html
« on: June 19, 2008, 06:43:09 pm »
I've created a profile with stereotypes and tagged values and used the profile in a model.
Having set the tagged values in the model, I generate an HTML Report. However, only a few of the tagged values appear agains their parent instances - the vast majority aren't in the report.
I've not yet spotted a pattern regarding what appears or doesn't appear.

I'm not sure if I've missed a step during the generation, or if it's an issue I should report.

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Perhaps some of the tagged values were inherited from a higher-level class (or metaclass). Try looking at your model - not the HTML report but the diagrams themselves - and finding an element where this happens. Open the Show Element Features window (control-shift-Y I think) and set the tagged values compartment to show. Note that there are two possible compartments. Try all combinations. Do you get different results, and if so do they parallel your HTML results?

Someplace in EA - it was a recent change and I don't remember where it is set - there is an option to show the 'lineage' of tagged values (or stereotypes). I don't know if this setting affects generated reports, but find the setting and try it.

If that does not work, try reporting this directly to Sparx. Use the Registered Users page to find the bug report form, since you can attach a compressed version of your project and report for Sparx to investigate.
