Upate several fields in the same time?

Hello,

let's say I have 10 requirements in a package.
I want to update the "version" field of 3 of the requirements from version 1 to version 2 (or any other field like the "status" field).
Is it possible to select the 3 requirements and update the "version" fields once??
I don't see a way to do that...

Hi Rod,

I would advice to use Show Element List option (right mouse click on project browser on the package, in which you have the requirements). You will get the nice list of all requirements with their category. The change is nice and easy...

In this view you can't update several items once.


What I would like to do is:
1+ I select 3 or 10 items (let's say requirements) in this view.
2+ Then I update one of the field ,and the update applies automatically to ALL the selected items. This feature could be limited to fields like status, version, difficulty, priority etc etc and not free text field.

In the view you mentionned, I still have to repeat the update manually for all the elements.

any idea?

Rod,

You can also use Package Control/Update Package Status option (right mouse click in Project Browser) and add New Version. But that will be applied to all elements inside the package, you cannot select them.

Hello Rod,
I am sure if you are aware of TT's solution - in Element List View - two single-clicks enables the Drop-Down on Status - whereas the Double-click will open the properties (not what you want). The DD does make the update a lot faster.
Even quicker -  do a single click on Status and type the fist letter of the selection i.e. "A" for Approved.

Hi,

I agree with Dermot changing status in Element List is nice and easy   but would be even nicer if we could select Ctrl+click multiple elements and change status of those selected. However if trying to do that Ctrl+click works fine, but multiple changes cannot be done.

Maybe that could be another feature request...
