RTF generated images vs. copy image to clipboard

I have a strange behaviour on the rendering speed inside MS Work of EA generated images.

1) If i just copy my bpmn-diagram with "Diagram --> Copy Image" to the clipboard and paste it into MS Word i get a metafile image with normal rending (displaying) speed.
2) If i generate a rtf document with the EA RTF generator containing also this diagram i get a metafile image which realy renders very slow, every box and line is rendered seperatly.

How can i configure the RTF generator the generate the same image type like the copy to clipboard funktion??

Note that the format of the diagrams is set to Metafile for both Clipboard and RTF Template.
