Question on generating RTF document for the model
« on: August 15, 2008, 03:29:24 am »
I'm evaluating the EA product to see if it fit as the main modeling tool for our product and i have some problem generating documentation from the model. I create a few use cases and each contains a sequence diagram, when i try to generate the document (RTF format), the generated document doesn't have any of my sequence diagrams. The document contains all the listing and documentation of the elements I use in the sequence diagrams, but the i can't find the sequence diagrams image/picture anywhere in the generated document. I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong here when I generate the documentation from my test model. Can someone help me out ?

Thanks,

Dermot

Hello Kim,

In the template - the Section: Element:: Diagram does support the child diagrams under Elements. It is best this be added, but left blank.  You also need Element::Child Element and Package::Child Package.  See the {basic template} for examples of this.
For more info see the Whitepaper on RTF report generation on: http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/resources/whitepapers/index.html
