Hide Connectors
« on: July 03, 2008, 10:31:25 pm »
Hello,

I would know i can hide a connector with a stereotype A in all diagrams with a stereotype B.

I try to add a diagramlink in the diagram but i don't know how i can get all diagrams which contains this connector.

Thanks you
bye

I think I know what you're getting at. AFAIK there is no stereotype sensitivity built into how EA handles connector visibility. But you can get some of what you seem to be asking.

Right-click the connector in any diagram and from the context menu choose Visibility. You'll see several options to choose from.

Note that setting visibility will not affect future diagrams or subsequent changes to diagrams you already have. In particular, EA will 'help' you by adding the connector if you place both end points onto a diagram. In some cases EA will not explicitly store the connector with the diagram, but will recreate it on the fly each time you reopen (or reload) the diagram. To prevent this behavior explicitly hide the connector. This seems to make EA store the connector, which it will remember thereafter. [For example, if you route the connector, hide it, and then make it visible again (perhaps from another diagram as above) EA should remember your routing.

No, you can't have it!
