« on: September 21, 2008, 09:03:53 pm »
How come Date is not in my list of types under class attributes?

If you don't have a language set, EA only populates with the four datatypes defined by UML.  Unfortunately, this doesn't include a Date type.

1. Bring up the Properties Dialog for the Class element in question (eg right click -> Properties)
2. Select a language from the Language combo box.

Also please refer to EA help: "UML Model Management"->"Reference Data"->"Data Types" to see how any desired data type shall be added.

So there is no way to set the language globally or enmass for a package?
or add a date datatype to UML right?

Yes, you can. Use the Tools | Options | Source Code Engineering dialog.

For some issues and workarounds, search my earlier posts using "EABase" (without quotes) as a keyword.
