Problem with debug script on Windows vista
« on: October 23, 2008, 10:28:34 pm »
Hello all

I'm newbie to the forum although i use EA for a long time.
My problem is that i use build and debug scripts for java code and everything works fine under windows xp.

But when doing the same under vista it does nothing when i choose to debug it. It does not even start jvm. My stack at debug workbench is empty.

Is this due to any known incompatibilities of vista with these issues on EA ?

thnx in order ... :)

Do you have everything in the same location on both computers?  If you've specified absolute paths in the script this is likely to be a problem.

Also which build of EA are you using? We added some fixes into build 826 to address some inter-process security differences in Windows Vista. If your build is prior to that I would recommend upgrading to the latest version (build 833)
Best Regards,

Michael
