Problems with Project Browser
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:25:47 am »
Hello,

when I start the EA (7.1.832), I have a problem with Project Browser - I cannot find it. Choice View - Project Browser do not work.
Once I join my notebook with external monitor (by means of dockstation) - this problem disappear and pr.browser started normally. But without external monitor (only notebook) the project browser do not start and I cannot start it manually too.

Thank You very much for Your help.
J.H.

I've seen this once or twice. There's a way to 'reset' the desktop, but I keep thinking that you might lose some of your layout settings (which can then be set up again of course).

But try this first, before you go hunting around...

Have you by any chance extended your desktop to use both monitors? [I'm not talking about when both monitors show the same thing, but when the desktop extends across both.] If so, try dragging the EA window to the default (usually the laptop) monitor. Then explicitly drag and dock all the windows that show up as checked on the View menu. Just to be on the safe side, set the EA window to be not maximized - that is 'normal' view, neither maximum nor collapsed - on the default monitor.

Now go to your control panel, remove the second monitor from your desktop configuration, and see if you can see the Browser. If so, exit EA and restart it. If the configuration holds you might be all set.

No, you can't have it!
