Statuses in shape scripts
« on: July 22, 2008, 06:43:42 am »
Hi,

Is it possible to get colors for statuses as defined in Settings>General Types?
Something like GetStatusColor( "#status#" );

I am trying to color part of an element based on its status, much like requirements do. Coloring is not a problem, but so far I can only use status and color values hard coded in a shape script.
My current solution works but it is not elegant because shape script will have to be rewritten every time someone adds/changes a status or its color.

Regards
Kris

I don't believe you can.

This would make a nice feature request.

Of course, you'd want this to extend to user-defined status values. This would also assume a benign default response where such a value did not exist (in cases where the reference data involved is not part of the project at run time).

No, you can't have it!
