Any problems with EA 7.1 and WIndows Vista 64?

Does EA 7.1 run under Winows Vista 64Bit?

The EA [edit=http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/ea/sysreq.html#vista]System Requirements[/edit] page says Vista (32bit). There is no note about whether this includes emulation under 64-bit Vista. There's a note on Vista installation - the note is also included in the EA documentation - but this sheds no further light on installation.

The EA documentation also includes some information on debugging under Vista 64-bit, but this does not suggest that EA runs in that environment.

I suggest you send a request to Sparx support and ask for explicit confirmation (either way).

I just installed 7.1 b832 this week on my home system, Vista 64 Home Premium.

Everything I've tried so far works great. There were a couple of dialogs asking permission
to write to the registry during the initial startup.

I'm playing with the Java API and haven't had any problems there either. All of my
previous code works fine.

I've used builds  831 and 832 on x64 without any issues.  I've also checkedome of my custom profiles and they work on both.

Watch out for ODBC drivers (32 bit vs. 64 bit) ... it's a Vista X64 configuration issue ... look for my other responses on how to configure correctly.

FWIW, I've been running EA 7.1 on Windows Server 2008 for the past three months without any problems.  Both .EAP and SQL Server repositories.
