Importing a .xmi file to EA reverses connectors
« on: December 20, 2008, 03:13:44 pm »
I created a data model in EA which I exported to .xmi format.
Then I imported the xmi file to another EA project. I observed that the directionality of all the associations between classes gets reversed.
Any solutions someone could suggest?

Wow. If that's a reproducible bug, it's a good one. Strange that we posted a different bug report today that when importing an XMI file, the labels on connectors get repositioned.

This probably happens only with XMI 2.1.
If it happened with XMI 1.1 version control would be unreliable and Sparx would be swamped with bug reports.

But with XMI 2.1 strange things happen to associations, see http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1228443760/0#0
