Auto increment version of model elements
« on: January 06, 2009, 09:34:39 pm »
Hi all.
Does anyone know if it is possible to configure EA to auto increment the versions of model elements as a result of changes?

AFAIK it is not possible.

This might be due to the fact that the version field in EA is free text. Incrementing the value might be meaningless.

Still, this would be a useful feature. It might work via some simple (optional) algorithm could be used. Something like increment the trailing value following the final period (or comma or something) in the field, if the value is a positive integer.

Perhaps you'd like to send a suggestion to Sparx. You can use the Feature Request link below the Support link near the bottom of any forum page.
