Naming of Stereotypes and Profiles
« on: August 13, 2008, 06:31:26 pm »
Hi there,

I try to use the Automation Interface of EA 7.1 for some model transformations.
It works mostly as expected, but for one case I cannot found a solution.
When I get the list of stereotypes from an element using e.GetStereotypeList() I get a string with the names of stereotypes.
That's ok for me, but I'm missing the profile name.
There is no link between these stereotype names and the corresponding profile.

Is it possible that EA creates the stereotype names like "profile::stereotype"? Otherwise it is not possible to know which profile introduced the used stereotype.

Thanks a lot for ideas!

Gerrit

We've been encouraging Sparx to provide more robust handling of fully qualified stereotypes and (possibly) tagged value names.

Please make a feature request directly to Sparx on this. That will help Sparx gauge the level of user interest.

You'll find the necessary form by clicking the Feature Request link below the Support link near the bottom of any forum page.
